Registered Nurse - High Risk Obstetric Specialty

Day shifts available: 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30). Travelers may choose between 3x12s or 4x12s.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in High Risk Obstetric care. The role involves managing diverse patient populations with high acuity in postpartum treatment and labor and delivery recovery. The ideal candidate should be able to handle census surges and be prepared to manage a 4th couplet. There is also a requirement to float between related campuses.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to High Risk Obstetric patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including Magnesium Sulfate and Pitocin.
• Conduct assessments and interventions related to postpartum care.
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Manage postpartum hemorrhage and care for patients with substance withdrawal.
• Utilize EPIC for charting and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in High Risk Obstetric nursing.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications are required.
• Active compact RN license required at the time of submission.
• Experience working in a high-census, diverse patient care environment.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Floating experience between facilities is required.
