Registered Nurse - High-Risk Obstetric Care

3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with high-risk obstetric care experience to join our team. This position entails providing care to a diverse population of postpartum patients in a large volume, high census facility. Applicants must be able to manage high acuity situations and handle census surges effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage care for postpartum patients following delivery.
• Monitor patients for postpartum hemorrhage and manage associated treatments.
• Oversee medication administration, including Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate.
• Handle cases involving substance withdrawal and perform interventions as necessary.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients and their families.
• Document patient care in the Epic system accurately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in high-risk obstetrics.
• Active compact nursing license required.
• Certifications: BLS, NRP.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
• Experience in managing a 4-couplet patient load is preferred.
