Postpartum RN - Travel Contract Position

Shift: Day 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Postpartum Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel contract position. The ideal candidate will have expertise in high-risk obstetric care and will be expected to manage a diverse patient population effectively. The role includes responsibilities related to postpartum treatment following delivery and may involve managing a high census in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for postpartum patients following delivery.
• Monitor and manage high-risk obstetric patients.
• Handle postpartum complexities, including hemorrhage and substance withdrawal.
• Administer medications such as Magnesium Sulfate and Pitocin as necessary.
• Prepare for and assist in case procedures, including Cesarean sections.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of postpartum nursing experience with high acuity patients.
• Active compact RN license required at the time of submission.
• Current certifications: BLS and NRP.
• Experience with Epic electronic health records is mandatory.
