Registered Nurse – Wound/Ostomy Care

This position involves a schedule of Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing specialized care to Wound and Ostomy Care patients. This role requires the utilization of the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy. The RN will demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgement, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care to Wound/Ostomy patients, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Demonstrate leadership by anticipating patient care needs and delegating tasks appropriately.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and professional development.
• Provide direction and supervision to other nursing personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Wound Care RN in a hospital setting.
• CWOCN certification is required and must be submitted with the application.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required and must be submitted with the application.
• Active CA RN license is required and must be attached to the resume.
