MRI Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our imaging team. The ideal candidate will possess an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology and have significant experience operating MRI machines. You will play a vital role in ensuring patient comfort and coordinating with physicians for timely diagnostic imaging results.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures for comfort
• Insert IVs as necessary for tests
• Document all procedures while ensuring patient confidentiality
• Perform patient care tasks as needed

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of MRI Technologist experience
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Experience with GE scanners
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Injection certification
• New York State Rad Tech license (must be obtained after starting)

Schedule

This position requires availability for a Sunday to Thursday schedule from 10 PM to 6:30 AM, including holidays and on-call duties as per unit needs.
