Registered Nurse - Medical ICU

Day Shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 guaranteed hours per week

Job Description

Seeking a Registered Nurse to join a high-paced Medical ICU team. The unit consists of 30 beds and deals with a diverse patient population, including those experiencing sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, alcohol and substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for patients in the Medical ICU
• Monitor and manage patient conditions, including those on ventilators
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement and evaluate patient care plans
• Educate patients and families about health management and discharge planning

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of ICU nursing experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required
• Experience with ventilators and other critical care equipment is necessary

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
