Registered Nurse - Medical ICU

Schedule

Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the Medical ICU, you will provide critical care to patients with complex medical conditions, including but not limited to sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, substance abuse issues, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage patient ventilators and other high-acuity medical equipment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and document the patient’s condition effectively.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of critical care nursing experience.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
