Acute Care Physical Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift: Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Acute Care Physical Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive physical therapy services to patients in an acute care setting, addressing a wide variety of diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions.
• Assist patients with exercises and therapies to improve mobility and physical functioning.
• Educate patients and their families about home exercise programs and care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in acute care physical therapy.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Valid CA state license to practice physical therapy required prior to start.
• Experience with a variety of patient diagnoses including but not limited to: Total Hip Replacement, Total Knee Replacement, Post-Stroke Rehabilitation, and Geriatric care.
