Physical Therapist - Acute Care

Job Description

The Physical Therapist will provide medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services aimed at restoring function and preventing disability in patients with musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, and integumentary disorders. Responsibilities will be carried out in accordance with Physical Therapy/Hospital Policy, as well as state and federal regulatory licensing and accrediting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations, treatment plans, and therapy interventions for patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care strategies.
• Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and home exercises.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctorate, or Certificate degree in Physical Therapy.
• Current California Physical Therapy license.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire; maintain current certification.
• Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.

Schedule

This position operates on a shift of 06:00 AM to 04:30 PM, four days a week.
