CVICU Registered Nurse

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 19:30)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse who is dedicated to providing high-quality care to patients requiring cardiac surgery and complex interventions. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a solid understanding of cardiac surgical recovery and critical care management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients in the CVICU, including fresh post-operative cardiac cases such as CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR.
• Utilize advanced equipment such as Impella, IABP, and CRRT with PrisMax.
• Administer medications, perform IV therapy, and monitor hemodynamic parameters.
• Conduct respiratory interventions including chest tube management and ventilator care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and patient rounds.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active NJ or Compact RN license is required at the time of submission.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent CVICU experience; SICU experience may be considered if prior training in CVICU is completed.
• Experience managing fresh post-operative cardiac patients is necessary.
• Must be skilled in the care of ventilated patients and have knowledge of renal failure management.
