Job Description

The Physical Therapist implements patient rehabilitation programs to help improve patient mobility, function, and strength. This role involves evaluating and treating patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients using electronic medical records for documentation.
• Guide and monitor patient care throughout treatment and follow-up.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Aides in patient care.
• Communicate with physicians and staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Ensure accurate documentation and follow-up regarding prescriptions and test results.
• Maintain patient comfort and address questions or concerns.
• Collaborate with front office staff on scheduling and patient follow-up.
• Adhere to HIPAA policies and patient privacy regulations.
• Participate in marketing and referral processes as necessary.
• Utilize proper coding for billing purposes.
• Maintain physical mobility to assist with patient transfers and mobility tasks.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Active state license or plan to become licensed as a Physical Therapist.
• Continuing education courses preferred.
