Job Description

The physical therapist implements patient rehabilitation programs to help improve patient mobility, function, and strength.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs.
• Utilize Electronic Medical Record to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries for patient files.
• Guide and monitor patient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up.
• Supervise PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care.
• Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
• Ensure accurate patient chart documentation and follow-up regarding prescriptions, test results, and authorizations.
• Assist with scheduling and patient follow-up in coordination with front office staff.
• Participate in business marketing and referral processes when necessary.
• Adhere to HIPAA policy and procedure, ensuring patient information privacy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Must hold an active Physical Therapist license or plan to test in the near future in the state of California.
• Continuing Education courses preferred.
