Travel Registered Nurse - Med Surg

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med Surg team. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. Nurses should be ready to support a patient ratio of 6 to 1 and demonstrate proficiency in using Cerner EMR.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Med Surg unit.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to create and implement treatment plans.
• Monitor patient health, administer medications, and perform less complex procedures.
• Document care activities accurately using the Cerner electronic medical records system.
• Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment options, and care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid compact or Alabama RN license with no NURSYS hits.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One year of experience in a Med Surg setting required.
• Cerner experience preferred.
