Job Description

The Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs and physician direction. This role is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those patients. The Physical Therapist ensures the design of functional treatment programs that allow for an effective return to community activities and serves as an educator of patients, families, students, and coworkers. Adherence to professional and organizational standards is paramount.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address discharge barriers
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient care needs
• Complete accurate and timely medical record documentation
• Participate in student programs and provide appropriate supervision
• Engage in professional development and advocacy efforts
• Adhere to state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing
• Actively contribute to performance improvement initiatives

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid and current state license as a Physical Therapist
• Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably with inpatient rehab
• BLS Certification Required Prior to First Shift
