Registered Nurse - Medical Intensive Care Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 Hour Day Shift (06:30 - 19:00). Weekends required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our high-acuity Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). The ideal candidate will have experience with critically ill patients and be comfortable with performing advanced medical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage the care of patients with respiratory failure requiring noninvasive or mechanical ventilation.
• Provide care for patients experiencing cardiovascular issues, including cardiac arrest and multisystem organ failure.
• Perform critical procedures such as central and arterial line placements, chest tube placements, and rapid sequence intubation.
• Conduct assessments and monitor the vital signs of patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Administer medications and manage ventilator settings as needed.
• Float to telemetry units if census requires it.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Previous experience with charge duties is a plus.
• Compact RN License must be in hand at submission.
