AM Shift: 07:00 – 17:30, 4 x 9.5 hr shifts, 38 hrs/week

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. The position is based in a major academic medical center that handles adult and pediatric trauma cases. You will be part of a dynamic team in a facility with 15 multi-specialty operating rooms.

Responsibilities

• Perform scrub and circulating duties in the operating room.
• Assist in a variety of surgeries including Trauma, General Surgery, Urology, GYN, Robotic surgeries, Plastics, Pediatric surgeries, Orthopedics, and Thoracic surgeries.
• Float to other units as needed, including the Ambulatory Surgery Unit.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 4 years of nursing experience in the operating room.
• Previous travel experience is required.
• Current BLS certification.
• New York State RN Licensure.
• Experience with trauma cases is preferred.
