Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 4x10 Hour schedule (07:00 - 17:30). Weekend requirement of every other weekend and holidays.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced OR Registered Nurse with strong orthopedic experience to join our team. The ideal candidate must be proficient in various surgical procedures and possess the necessary certifications and licenses to provide exceptional patient care in the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care in the operating room for various surgical cases.
• Assist the surgical team in preparing the OR and equipment for procedures.
• Monitor patients’ conditions pre- and post-surgery, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
• Collaborate with surgical staff and communicate effectively to provide optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with safety and infection control protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an OR RN, with strong orthopedic focus.
• Current NY State license required (Compact licenses are accepted if applied).
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS are mandatory.
• Recent telemetry assessment experience is essential for patient care in designated departments.
