Registered Nurse - Medical ICU

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days a week.

Job Description

Join a fast-paced Medical ICU with 30 beds, providing critical care for patients with complex conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, alcohol use/abuse, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients.
• Manage and monitor ventilators and other advanced medical equipment.
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Evaluate patient status and report changes to the medical staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU setting.
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
