Sterile Processing Technician

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

5x8-hour shifts, 11 PM to 7:30 AM (Monday through Friday) with holiday rotation. Weekend rotation may also be required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician who is proficient in sterilization, decontamination, assembly, and wrapping of surgical instruments and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards within the sterile processing department.
• Assist in the training of new staff and provide support as needed.
• Float within the scope of work to meet facility needs.

Required Experience / Certifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
• Level 1 Trauma center experience is required.
• National certifications such as CBSPD and/or HSPA required.
• Knowledge of various surgical specialties, including Neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, Transplant, and GYN preferred.
• BLS certification is not required.
