Schedule

Mid 5x8-Hour Shift (15:00 - 23:30) with rotating weekends and holiday rotation required.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for sterilizing, decontaminating, and assembling surgical instruments and supplies. This is an essential role in ensuring the safety and efficacy of medical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization, decontamination, assembly, and wrapping of surgical instruments.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records and reports related to sterilization processes.
• Monitor and test sterilization equipment and processes.
• Assist with inventory management of surgical supplies and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with surgical and nursing staff regarding instruments and supply needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing required.
• Experience with Level 1 Trauma Centers preferred.
• National certifications such as CBSPD or HSPA required.
• Knowledge in sterilization methods and use of sterilization equipment.

Location

This position is within a 60-mile radius. Local candidates may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.
