Sterile Processing Technician

Assignment Duration

This is a temp-to-perm contract position, with a total duration of approximately 13 weeks.

Schedule

5x8 Hour Shift: 15:00 - 23:30; holiday rotation, with rotating weekends required.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for the sterilization, decontamination, assembly, and wrapping of medical instruments and supplies. This role supports a Level I Trauma Center and a teaching environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization and decontamination processes for medical instruments.
• Assemble and wrap sets/trays of surgical instruments.
• Document sterilization and high-level disinfection processes.
• Utilize appropriate sterilization techniques and procedures.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and effective instrument management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of sterile processing experience.
• Experience with neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN cases preferred.
• National Certifications: CBSPD and/or HSPA required.
• No first-timers; experience in a Level I Trauma Center is required.
