Registered Nurse - Respiratory Unit

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position for a Registered Nurse primarily working on the Respiratory unit, which admits COVID patients. The RN may also be required to float between various Med-Surg units, including but not limited to Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and ED/Med-Surg boarders.

Schedule

This position requires a night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with commitment to work 36 hours per week and every other weekend. There is no on-call requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on the Respiratory unit and Med-Surg units as assigned.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, particularly related to telemetry.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Epic EMR.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Ohio RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• A minimum of 3 years of recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience.
• Proficiency in Epic EMR is mandatory; no refresher classes will be provided.
• Must be able to read telemetry; competency testing will occur on the first day.
