Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:00) with 6 weekends required within a 6-week period.

Job Description

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will provide critical care to patients in a fast-paced ER setting. The position requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient management.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care, including triage and stabilization of patients.
• Administer medication and treatment as per hospital protocols.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Maintain accurate medical records using the Epic charting system.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Work effectively under pressure in a Level II trauma center.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required.
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC.
• Current and valid RN license in hand at the time of submission.
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients preferred.
