Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position. The shift is Day 3x12-Hour, from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM.

Job Description

The Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse will work primarily in the MS/Tele unit, responsible for providing high-quality patient care to medical surgical telemetry patients. This role entails team nursing with a patient ratio of 1:4 to 1:8. Candidates must have experience in telemetry nursing and be able to float within scope to meet facility needs.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and perform various nursing interventions.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data and manage acute patient conditions.
• Provide care for patients with diverse telemetry needs including cardiac drips and respiratory support.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of nursing experience in a medical surgical telemetry unit.
• Valid RN license required; must have license in hand.
• ACLS preferred; BLS required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
