Nights, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, floating and call required.

Job Description

The Travel Med/Surg RN will provide general medical-surgical nursing care in an inpatient setting. The position involves working with both adult and occasional non-critical pediatric patients, ensuring a high standard of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to the medical team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Prepare and maintain accurate patient records in the EMR (MedHost).
• Participate in patient education and advocate for patient needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Fingerprints for all New Mexico travelers are required before assignment.
