Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist performs respiratory therapy procedures as outlined in protocols and per physician orders to improve the cardiopulmonary conditions of patients from newborns to geriatrics. The role primarily involves working with patients in critical care units, adult general care, and pediatric general care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory care for patients across all age groups.
• Initiate or modify a patient's plan of care following structured orders under established protocols.
• Document all patient records and department logs accurately.
• Maintain knowledge of technological advances in the respiratory care field and apply clinical applications effectively.
• Ensure a positive patient experience through effective communication and service recovery strategies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a valid RRT license and Nevada State License in hand before submission.
• Must apply for State of Nevada Point of Care Analyst license, Director of Point of Care, or General Supervisor of Point of Care before starting.
• Certifications required: AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care Respiratory Therapy experience with recent critical care exposure.
• Prior travel experience with at least one 13-week assignment is required.
