Job Description

The Pediatric Respiratory Therapist will provide specialized care within the Pediatric Emergency Department. The unit consists of 15 beds and operates with a patient ratio of 1 therapist for the Pediatric ED during day shifts. The role involves working with pediatric patients requiring respiratory support and utilizing a range of advanced respiratory equipment while documenting care in the Meditech EMR system.

Responsibilities

• Perform bronchiolitic scoring and manage respiratory arrest situations.
• Administer noninvasive and invasive ventilation as required.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have experience in Pediatric Critical Care.
• Pediatric respiratory therapy certification is preferred.
