Contract NICU Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Schedule

Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with rotating weekends. No call required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a contract position in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory care for pediatric patients and will demonstrate expertise in using advanced respiratory equipment and therapies.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care and perform therapeutic procedures for neonates and pediatric patients.
• Administer nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy, and ventilator management.
• Monitor patient progress and provide necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the highest quality of care.
• Document patient care according to facility protocols and maintain accurate medical records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RRT credential and state license.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications are mandatory for this position.
• Previous NICU or Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience is preferred.
