Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room (ER) will provide high-quality care to adult patients in a fast-paced environment. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing care of patients experiencing emergency medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and care plans.
• Perform triage and coordinate patient care in emergency scenarios.
• Utilize advanced cardiac monitoring and interpretation skills.
• Manage care for patients with complex health conditions, including trauma and critical care.
• Assist with procedures and emergency interventions as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active New York Single State RN License (not compact).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of ER experience preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is required.
