This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30); Day shift: 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30). Weekend coverage may be required based on staffing needs.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. This position requires an active Alaska RN license. Nurses with experience in chemotherapy administration are preferred. The role includes providing comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions to chemotherapy and other treatments.
• Provide patient education regarding health management and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic health record system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Current Alaska RN license (candidates must have this by the time of auto-offer).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification preferred.
