Registered Nurse - PCU Nights

This is a 4x12-hour night shift position from 18:30 to 07:00.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team during the night shift. This role requires a strong background in cardiac telemetry as the unit serves a significant population of cardiac patients. The position provides the opportunity for full-time hours, with options of 36 or 48 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the PCU setting.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and telemetry readings, interpreting dysrhythmias as needed.
• Administer medications, including IV drips and blood products.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory therapy and pharmacy, to optimize patient care.
• Manage complex patient cases, including pre/post cardiac surgery and angiogram care.
• Participate in patient education and support efforts regarding their health conditions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a PCU or similar high-acuity unit (2 years preferred).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS and CPI preferred.
• Cardiovascular experience is required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
