12-hour night shifts with every other weekend requirement. Holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Med/Surg Telemetry will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The RN will work across multiple units, including Med/Surg Oncology, Med/Surg Orthopedics, and Med/Surg Urology, supporting ED Hold patients as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients in a telemetry setting.
• Perform IV administrations, bladder scans, blood draws, and glucose monitoring.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document nursing assessments and interventions in EPIC.
• Assist with patient education and support throughout their care journey.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience required.
• 1 year experience in specialty required.
• Current NY RN license required upon submission.
• AHA BLS certification required; CMSRN preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to starting.
• Previous experience with EPIC within the last 2 years is non-negotiable.
