Registered Nurse - Ortho Unit

Schedule

This position requires a night shift, working 12-hour rotations from 7 PM to 7 AM or 7 AM to 7 PM. There are options for both 36 and 48 hours per week, with one weekend shift required weekly or two weekend shifts every other week. Candidates must also work at least one holiday during the contract period.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in the SE6 Ortho unit, delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients with orthopedic conditions. This role requires flexibility to adapt to the needs of the facility's schedule and the willingness to float to other units and take on charge responsibilities if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care to individuals with orthopedic issues.
• Utilize EPIC charting for patient documentation and record-keeping.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare team members.
• Supervise and support nursing staff as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in acute medical-surgical, telemetry, neuro, and orthopedic nursing.
• Active RN license in New York.
• Current certifications in NIH Stroke Scale and AHA BLS.
• For non-U.S. candidates, 2 years of U.S. work experience is required.
