Registered Nurse - Step Down Unit

Shift: 12-hour nights, weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Step Down Unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, closely monitoring patients post-interventions and managing a variety of complex conditions. You will be vital in ensuring optimal patient recovery and comfort during their stay.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient status and vital signs throughout the shift.
• Administer medications and titrate intravenous drips as prescribed.
• Document patient care accurately in the EPIC charting system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience with post-MI patients, postoperative vascular care, GI bleeds, and DKA preferred.
• Ability to read telemetry strips effectively.
