Level II Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Schedule

This is a rotating shift schedule of 3x12 hours, including every other weekend and holidays/on-call as needed. No straight shift schedules available.

Job Description

The Level II Registered Nurse is accountable for providing competent patient care based on established standards, under the direction of the Nurse Manager. This role encompasses an expanded capacity which may include responsibilities as charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member in addition to direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide informational support and education to patients and their families.
• Ensure compliance with clinical practices and established standards.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities when required.
• Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Participate in committee work and professional development activities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN License from New York (NY License ONLY).
• Two (2) years of nursing experience in telemetry settings.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA ONLY).
