Schedule

12 hour varied shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (holidays/weekends). Call coverage required, one call shift per week, 7:30 PM - 7:00 AM, scheduled immediately following a shift.

Job Description

Join as an Operating Room Registered Nurse in a progressive, patient-centered environment. You will initiate a plan of care based on identified medical, surgical, and nursing diagnoses, providing high-quality care to surgical patients in the operating room setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor the physical status of the patient through interviews, observations, and reviews of records.
• Plan and deliver patient care based on collected data and anticipated outcomes.
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure patient safety by supervising care within the assigned O.R. unit.
• Anticipate equipment and supply needs prior to surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare personnel to enhance patient care.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and implement a revised plan of care as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• State of California Registered Nurse License required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• American Heart Association ACLS certification required.
• Minimum of two years experience in the operating room required.
• Cerner experience preferred.
• CNOR certification preferred.
