Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Schedule

This is a 12-hour night shift position, with rotation between shifts of 3 PM to 3 AM and 7 PM to 7 AM. The contract consists of 36 hours per week, requiring one weekend shift per contracted week or two weekend shifts every other weekend. At least one holiday shift must be worked per contract as well.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be part of a large, high-acuity Emergency Department consisting of 80 treatment spaces, delivering care in a modern and collaborative environment. This department is focused on high-quality patient care and includes specialized geriatric emergency care, being the area's first ACEP accredited geriatric ED.

Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Collaborating with a supportive team of healthcare professionals.
• Participating in departmental initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
• Completing necessary documentation through EPIC charting.

Required Experience & Certifications

• Minimum of 2 years recent nursing experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of U.S. work history required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Active NY RN license.
• Current NIH and AHA BLS certifications.

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.
