Physical Therapist

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, with 2-3 weekend days required.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist will actively monitor and amend patient visit schedules to maximize productivity and meet patient needs. This role includes comprehensive assessments, developing plans of care, providing skilled treatment, and coordinating patient care with clinical team members. Additionally, the therapist will supervise clinical activities of PTAs and students, complete required paperwork, and engage in training and community outreach.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and adjust patient visit schedules for optimal productivity.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, including psychosocial and risk factors.
• Develop and document patient-specific plans of care with defined goals.
• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments and document patient progress.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff.
• Supervise and direct the activities of PTAs, students, and aides.
• Complete necessary documentation for billing and insurance compliance.
• Participate in training programs for medical and community staff.
• Conduct various patient-related health assessments and procedures.
• Ensure timely communication regarding changes in patient care schedules.
• Coordinate safe patient discharges and transfers in compliance with regulations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid Physical Therapist license.
• Experience with OASIS assessments and documentation.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to physical therapy.
