Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shifts, 3x12-hour shifts (11:00 AM - 11:30 PM). Every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced ER environment. This role requires proficient management of critically ill patients and the ability to perform advanced nursing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and manage heart rhythm changes (dysrhythmias).
• Care for critically ill patients with multi-organ issues.
• Administer blood products and manage central lines.
• Start and maintain IVs, administer IV sedation, and vasopressors.
• Provide care for stroke patients and ventilated patients.
• Manage BiPAP/CPAP and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Follow isolation precautions and perform triage duties as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1.5 years of nursing experience.
• At least 2 years of recent ER experience required.
• Active nursing license (NY or compact) required; applicants without a NY license must show proof of application.
• Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS.
