Orthopedic Medical Surgical Nurse

Schedule

7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, with a total of 36 hours scheduled per week and 24 hours guaranteed. Weekend shifts and on-call requirements to be determined by the facility.

Job Description

This position is for an experienced Orthopedic Medical Surgical Nurse willing to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be adaptable, flexible, and able to start on the designated start date or within one week thereafter. There is a stipulation that each candidate’s request for time off cannot exceed 7 days and they must not take any time off during the first week of their assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the orthopedic medical surgical unit.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about orthopedic conditions and treatments.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 24 months of Medical/Surgical nursing experience within the last 12 months.
• Current and active RN license with no violations.
• Life support certifications (BLS and ACLS) from approved vendors (AHA, ARC, or ASHI).
• Driver's license to verify residency.
• Travel experience is highly preferred.
