Registered Nurse - Med/Surg/Telemetry - Night Shift

4x12 Night Shift (19:00 - 07:00) with every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for our Med/Surg/Telemetry unit. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients primarily experiencing conditions such as CHF, acute MI, post-device care (including pacemakers), and various arrhythmias. The unit also cares for general surgery patients, including those undergoing colon rectal procedures, ostomy care, and reconstructive surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care for a high-volume unit with a bed capacity of 26, maintaining a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7.
• Provide assessment and monitoring of patients' vital signs and lab results.
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams regarding patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards.
• Document patient care and progress in the EPIC charting system accurately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• New York State Registered Nurse License (must be in hand to submit).
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a Med/Surg/Telemetry setting.
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required; please include valid NIHSS in your application.
• EPIC charting experience is mandatory.
• Ability to float to other units as needed.
• Candidates must be located more than 75 miles from the facility.
