RN - Cardiac ICU

Assignment Duration

This is an 18-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 - 19:30.

Job Description

The RN in the Cardiac ICU will provide care for cardiac patients, as well as overflow from the Medical ICU, Trauma ICU, and Neuro ICU. The focus will be on delivering high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor patients in the Cardiac ICU.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in the training and education of staff and patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience.
• Current RN license (compact accepted).
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required; TNCC preferred.
• Experience in a high-volume, high-acuity teaching or trauma facility is preferred.
