Pediatric Infusion Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. No weekends, no holidays, and no on-call duties.

Job Description

The Pediatric Infusion Center supports a variety of pediatric specialty services with infusions and procedural care including chemotherapy, monoclonal antibody administration, blood product administration, enzyme replacement therapy, and gene therapy. Ideal candidates should possess excellent prioritization, communication skills, IV skills, and experience with IVADs/Ports. Flexibility in adjusting to the evolving needs of the Pediatric Infusion Center is essential.

Responsibilities

• Administer infusions and medications to pediatric patients.
• Monitor and evaluate patient reactions during treatments.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding procedures and care.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pediatric infusion protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN License (New York State only)
• Two years of experience in pediatrics
• Current BLS certification
• Current PEARS certification
• Certification from APHON is preferred
