Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with a night shift schedule from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Job Description

The Emergency Department is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with emergency and pediatric experience. The unit specializes in treating patients with a variety of conditions, including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. You will provide care for patients across the lifespan, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
• Monitor patients and respond to emergencies.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members.
• Utilize specialty equipment, including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout treatment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department with pediatric experience.
• Active RN license in New York and all required certifications (ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC).
• Experience with electronic medical records, specifically EPIC.
• Drivers license with an address matching demographics.
• NURSYS report for license verification required.
