Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Telemetry unit is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care. This role involves the utilization of the nursing process in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care within the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit. The RN will communicate with physicians regarding changes in clinical conditions and provide guidance to other nursing personnel while fostering patient/family education.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the scope of nursing practice.
• Assess and monitor patients' conditions, including cardiac monitoring and diagnostic study results.
• Respond to changes in patient conditions and treatment responses promptly and accurately.
• Guide patient/family teaching initiatives.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA or Red Cross) certificate.
• Current ACLS (AHA or Red Cross) certificate.
• Minimum of 1 year previous Acute Care hospital experience.
• Meditech EMR experience preferred.
