Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift 3x12.0

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is effectively followed. This role involves the supervision of Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, while promoting patient and employee safety in accordance with organizational standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to establish individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to patients' diagnoses through collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide timely patient information and status for initial and re-evaluation team conferences.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, with a focus on education for patients and their families.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate pertinent information regarding changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, effectively organizing tasks and prioritizing patient needs.
• Maintain a safe environment in accordance with hospital and nursing policies.
• Assume charge responsibility upon completion of the orientation period.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS required prior to the first shift (specific to CIRH).
• Minimum of two years bedside clinical experience is required.

Schedule

This position requires a night shift of 3x12.0 hours.
