Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and new orientees. Patient safety and employee safety are top priorities, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings.
• Communicate patient information and changes in status effectively.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and promote patient education.
• Initiate discharge planning and education from the day of admission.
• Provide direction and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel.
• Maintain a safe and positive work environment, promoting teamwork.
• Participate in professional development and continuing education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license required.
• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is required.
