Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Travel Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac ICU team. The unit features 16 beds and is supported by an extensive team of 60 staff members, including charge RNs and PCTs. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in providing critical care to patients in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac ICU patients.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer appropriate interventions.
• Assist with advanced procedures such as intubations and central line placements.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Engage in effective communication with patients and their families.
• Utilize cardiac monitoring equipment and EMR (Meditech) for patient records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of current acute care ICU hospital experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• Experience with neuro and medical ICU populations is a plus.
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR is preferred.
