This is a night shift position, working 3 shifts of 12 hours each (19:00 - 07:30).

Job Description

The Cardiac Progressive Care Unit is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role requires expertise in surgical telemetry, particularly with open heart and vascular surgery patients. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care in a dynamic environment, including floating to similar units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for pre/post-operative cardiac patients.
• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias while managing cardiac drips.
• Administer medication and blood products, performing necessary clinical procedures.
• Conduct and document patient assessments, care plans, and interventions.
• Support the healthcare team through collaboration and interdisciplinary communication.
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand, compact state license preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience in a surgical unit.
• Proven experience with open heart and vascular surgery patients.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required.
• Epic experience is a mandatory requirement.
