Registered Nurse - Med/Surg ER

Schedule

Full-Time, 36 hours per week, with 3 days a week from 5 PM to 5 AM, and weekend & holiday rotation.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse position in Med/Surg ER contributes to the fulfillment of the organization’s vision and mission by exercising appropriate nursing judgment based on knowledge, skills, and understanding in nursing situations. The role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, along with participating in quality assurance programs to provide optimal patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care and services for patients, including observing and recording signs and symptoms.
• Administer medications and treatments as specified in the medical and/or nursing plan.
• Assist in planning, providing, and evaluating patient care as a member of the nursing team.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in patient care areas, including care of rooms and equipment.
• Observe, record, and report changes in patients' conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Provide care in Emergency Room settings following demonstrated competency.
• Participate in nursing care plans according to physicians' instructions and established standards.
• Assist in training and orientation of new employees.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and educational workshops as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current valid state Nursing License
• Maintains current CPR, ACLS, TNCC, NRP, and STABLE certifications
• Strong communication skills
